Family Mediation is used to resolve living arrangements disputes for children after the Parents have decided to separate. The Attorney General’s Department has ruled that couples Must go to mediation prior to any court, this way it is expected that couples stay away from the expensive, drawn-out court system and resolve their issues quickly and for a few hundred dollars instead of spending tens of thousands in family court.
