Four hormones can determine your happiness

It is essential we understand these hormones, as we need all four of them to stay happy. Getting them each day greatly improves our life, immunity and level of happiness.

Endorphins
When we exercise, the body releases Endorphins. This hormone releases as we are exercising and these Endorphins make us feel happy. Laughter is another way of generating and releasing Endorphins. Just spending 30 minutes every day exercising or undertaking energetic movement, reading or watching funny and humorous things can help us get our daily dose of Endorphins. Smiling releases endorphins as well, and how easy is this. Smiling is also infection and contagious. When we smile we release neuropeptides that help fight off stress. It also has a similar positive effect on those we actually smile at.

Dopamine
When we are appreciated and recognised for our work at the office, in a sporting game or at home, we feel proficient and virtuous. That is because of the release of Dopamine.
Lack of appreciation can explain why many woman and mothers are unhappy since they rarely get acknowledged or appreciated for their hard work. Often the reason too many of us excessively shop, gamble or drink, is to create a good feeling because we are missing out on our daily hit of Dopamine. When Dopamine is released, we become happier. Serotonin
When we give back to others, nature or society, it releases Serotonin. Oxytocin
When we hug our friends, or family Oxytocin is released. Similarly, when we shake hands or put our arms around someone’s shoulders, various amounts of Oxytocin is released. When we hug our kids, friends, and families, they and we get a release of Oxytocin, and we can all be a little happier
When we are happy, we can deal with our challenges and problems better.
